When feeding materials to a steel plate silo or warehouse for the first time, do not fill it to the brim. Many enterprises are in a hurry to start production and fill the first feeding to the brim. This will lead to difficulties in discharging materials and will cost more energy and money in the later stage. If the foundation is unstable, it may also lead to uneven settlement, causing the silo to collapse or fall. For the first feeding, one-third of the steel plate silo should be filled. Observe the settlement observation points. If there is no settlement or the settlement is uniform, empty the silo and then feed it for the second time. The second feeding should be filled in three times. After each feeding, observe the settlement observation points. Under normal circumstances, prepare for the next feeding. Until it's full.

During the trial period of the steel plate silo, it is necessary to regularly check whether the top cover plate of the silo has been properly modified (inspection holes, manholes), whether the fastening bolts are loose, and whether there are rust spots on the surface of the components, etc. If there are rust spots, they should be dealt with in time, and the welds should be inspected regularly. Rust prevention treatment should be carried out if necessary based on the inspection results.

Each time the steel plate silo is filled or emptied, it is necessary to check whether there is any deformation on the silo wall, whether the pressure inside the silo is normal, and whether the temperature and humidity are normal. Special attention should be paid to the sensitive parts at the legs of the elevated silo.
